Once your tenancy agreement has been signed, your first month's rent has been received, and your tenancy deposit has been protected, you'll be ready to collect the keys to your new home.
Our team will arrange a convenient time for you to collect your keys and provide you with everything you need to begin your tenancy. We'll also be on hand to answer any final questions, ensuring your move-in day is as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Moving Into Your New Home
Moving home is an exciting milestone, and at Savoy Lettings, we're here to make the process as smooth and straightforward as possible.
Before your tenancy begins, we'll ensure you have everything you need to settle into your new home. Where applicable, you'll receive a comprehensive inventory and check-in report detailing the condition of the property at the start of your tenancy. We'll also provide important information about your new home, including guidance on utilities, safety information, emergency contact details, and how to report maintenance issues.
Meter readings will be recorded where required, helping to ensure utility accounts are transferred accurately.
Once you've collected your keys and moved in, our support doesn't stop there. Whether you have a question, need to report a maintenance issue, or simply require advice during your tenancy, our friendly team is always on hand to help, ensuring you enjoy a well-managed and comfortable home throughout your time with Savoy Lettings.
Enjoying Your New Home
Our aim is to ensure you have a positive and enjoyable experience throughout your tenancy. From the day you move in until the day you leave, we're here to provide ongoing support and help you feel at home.
As part of our Smarter Renting Experience, if you experience a maintenance issue during your tenancy, please report it through the Street Tenant App. The Street Tenant App gives you instant access to your tenancy details, maintenance tracking, and AI-powered repair advice. It allows you to quickly log issues, upload photos where needed, and track progress as your request is being handled. Our team will work closely with your landlord and trusted contractors to ensure any repairs are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
We also understand that circumstances can sometimes change. If you're experiencing difficulties with your rent payments or have any concerns during your tenancy, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible. By maintaining open communication, we can offer guidance and work with you to find the best possible solution.

Moving Out
If you decide to move out of your home, simply provide the required notice in accordance with your tenancy agreement. Once your move-out date has been confirmed, we'll guide you through the process to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
Before you leave, we'll provide you with helpful guidance, including a cleaning checklist and information on preparing the property for handover. This will help ensure the property is returned in good condition and assist with the prompt return of your tenancy deposit.
On your move-out date, we'll carry out a check-out inspection, comparing the condition of the property against the original inventory and check-in report where applicable. Final meter readings may also be recorded to assist with closing your utility accounts.
Once the inspection has been completed and all keys have been returned, we'll begin the tenancy deposit return process in accordance with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS). Our aim is to make the moving-out process straightforward, transparent, and hassle-free.
